OUr plan: THe indoor playground

A Place to Play

We're creating a fun, safe, and interactive indoor playground designed to spark kids' imaginations and encourage adventure. The space will feature two distinct play zones, welcoming children from toddlers up to age 12 to explore, imagine, and play—no matter the weather outside. A small kitchen and coffee bar will be available, along with a seating area where adults can connect and kids can enjoy a snack. Our playground will be free and open to the public during the week, available exclusively to our church families on Sundays, and available on Saturdays for birthday party rentals.

OUr plan: THe Youth addition

A Space to Grow

We're building a Christ-centered, modern space where students are known, valued, and empowered to grow in faith and friendship. This new youth space will be intentionally designed for authentic connection, worship, and spiritual growth. The space will include a lobby where students can hang out, play games, share snacks, and connect before and after youth group. A brand-new worship area, with seating for over 150 students, will be the heart of youth nights-hosting worship, teaching, and prayer ministry. In addition, a versatile multipurpose space will provide room for fun, games, and group activities. Together, these spaces will create opportunities for worship, small groups, mentorship, real conversations, and deep discipleship.

Projected Site Plan

This site plan outlines both additions on our current property. The location for the indoor playground addition is in blue and the location for the youth addition is in orange. An additional parking lot will be added to the back of the property to offset the loss of parking spaces from the new additions.

FAQs

How long will the construction last?

Approximately one year.

Will you build both additions at the same time?

Yes, the hope is to have both building projects going on simultaneously.

Will these additions create a need for more parking spaces?

We do expect to lose some existing parking. However, we have a plan in place to create additional parking behind the church building.

How can the new individuals or families who join our church over the next 3 years get involved?

Anyone new to VCDC is welcome to join the campaign at any time. During each Vision & Values class we'll invite new members to join the campaign as well.
