Family Promise provides emergency housing leading to permanent stable housing while building communities and strengthening lives. They work with local churches to provide dinners and household supplies. VCDC will be providing dinners for residents the week of May 24th. We plan the menu for each day and purchase all the food, but we need your help preparing the meals each day from 3-4:30pm in the VCDC kitchen under the direction of our meal coordinators. We also need one person to shop for and deliver a list of household supplies to Family Promise any time from Thursday, May 21st to Sunday, May 24th. Our greatest need is for individuals to deliver the food to Family Promise (located in downtown Delaware) after either service on Sunday and, Monday thru Friday at 4:30pm. This is a great way to serve those in need and to build friendships within the church. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.
